The gooseneck head lights let you turn and twist the lamps in any direction your like. A full range dimmer for both lights allows for easy lighting control. Fixed to the wall and fully adjustable rheostat control makes this a great investment. It matches the nickle finish found throughout the house. Only negative was a bit of confusion in the installation instructions when using the wall cord. I ignored the instruction to disconnect the wire from the fixture. It is ready to just plug in after mounting it to the wall bracket. Piece of cake to install.

We bought this for our guest bedroom, installed on the wall, only to find it did not work. However, we were allowed to keep the parts we had already put on the wall that the light attaches to, and return the light itself. We later bought another one to go over a sofa in an office. We like the functionality of two flexible lights on separate dimmer switches. They would clearly work in a wide variety of environments.
