Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
1)We use the light for reading and needle work.
2)We like the ability to direct the light in almost any direction, its brightness, dimmer capability, illumination area and design.
3) Disappointed in the function of one arm as it's tension is not as tight as it should be. For the price paid, disappointed.
