My contractor installed 2 of these side by side in the bathroom, horizontally. They are meant to hang vertically so we had to play around a bit with the nickel cover to make it look even on top and bottom. Again this is because of how we installed it. I don't think we would have had any trouble if it was installed vertically. They are beautiful!
very pretty sconce, the only problem is that you have to disassemble the sconce to change the bulb
