Goes well in my Victorian house

I wanted a swing arm floor lamp for next to a reading chair in the living room. I have a Victorian house with lots of turn of the century furniture, so this style fits in well. This is a sturdy lamp, and looks nice next to the wing chair. The painted flowers go well with a rug I have in there, as does the dark wood stain finish. I was confused, as one reviewer claimed this was a 3-way lamp. It is not. I was disappointed to have purchased a lightbulb which is only able to operate on the low setting. In my living room, the variable feature would have been great, and it never occurred to me that it would take a single level 150 W bulb. There is a sticker on the lamp that says it has been customized for energy efficient bulbs, which may be why the lamp won't work this way. I would have much rather had the three levels than this feature. The lamp looks nice, a combo of ceramic and wood, with an attractive shade. Make sure not to hide the painted base, as it is very pretty. The extra cord length can be pushed into the base.

This lamp is so beautiful. Even the base is gorgeous and you don't really want to hide it. The shade is a nice neutral color...no hint of yellow. I wanted a 3-way switch, but this is so pretty that I have no regrets!

I loved this lamp so much that I ordered another one. I have a library in my home that holds my grandmother's antique couch and chair.
