We use this bulb in our kitchen cans. It provides 36% more lumens per the same wattage as a regular PAR30 with 20% longer life. The lights run cooler in the kitchen where heat buildup can be a real problem. I used to use 75W bulbs but by using this bulb I have reduced the wattage 33% to 50W with plenty of light in the kitchen. The 75W was a bit too much light, but the standard 50W was too little. These bulbs really hit the sweet spot for us.

Lamps Plus Response: Dear GIl R, Thanks for taking the time to comment about this light. Your kitchen looks beautifully illuminated, and we're happy that the advanced design allowed you to get enough light output without the added risk of extra heat. Well done. Thanks again for the feedback and the photo! -The LAMPS PLUS Team
