SHADES
Shades come in many sizes, shapes and styles. If you are replacing a shade, you
can instantly update the look of your table or floor lamp. It is important to
get a size that is in proportion with the overall look. A shade should be
neither too small nor too large. The important measurements are the top and
bottom diameter and the height. (A, B and C right) Additionally what is called
the drop will determine how the shade will fit onto the base (D right). For
instance A (top diameter) x B (bottom diameter) x C (overall height) is how you
determine the shade size. The shade size could be 7 x 14 x 11 as shown in the
diagram to the right. You can measure your shade using the method shown to the
right, however we do recommend that you bring in the base of your lamp when
making a shade purchase.
