It looks like a flying paper clip, but it's actually a sleek new ceiling fan design from Fanimation. Part of the Centarus fan collection, the design has three curved blades and a cool, futuristic look.

GloFab is a Swedish company that's using fiber optics in a strikingly new way. This sphere caught our eye; it's made of a single strand of fiber optic cable that's been woven into an eye-catching design.
Other applications have involved draping building storefronts, such as the Cartier flagship store in Munich. Very inventive and an indication of what fiber optic lighting is capable of. Link thanks to Gizmodo.
A' Homestead is best known for their line of embroidered, folk art style shades.
Crafted in the small town of LaPaz, Indiana; these shades have an Americana look that is both cozy and current.
