Our Light Column Paper Shade Table Lamp caught the eye of Nick Olsen.
He's "The Deal Hunter" of Domino Magazine's always absorbing blog.
Depending on whether you want to use this lamp as an accent or reading light, you may need to experiment a little with different bulbs to find the right level of brightness.
Nick muses about setting a pair of these on nightstands and mounting swing-arm lamps above. I like that idea too. Then you can have one set of lights for a soft atmosphere and one for reading.

The design has three curved blades and a cool, futuristic look. This one has mahogany finish blades; other models have maple or cherry blades.

A' Homestead is best known for their line of embroidered, folk art style shades.
Crafted in the small town of LaPaz, Indiana, these shades have an Americana look that is both cozy and current. The fabric shade line includes pleasantly subdued plaids and embroidered pieces with a folk art feel. Look for them in our embroidered lamp shade section or browse our entire selection of lamp shades.

The colorful, jewelry-like look of this purple table lamp from our Bijoux Collection caught the eye of the Woman's World editors putting together the January 7, 2008 edition. It fits so nicely into their theme that you can see why.
The Purple Bijoux Table Lamp's base looks like a stack of multi-colored jewels and features a vibrant purple lamp shade. There is also a floor lamp version that features the same purple, amber, yellow and clear faceted gem base.
As we get older, operating the tiny knobs and switches on household applicances gets tougher.
A new wave of touch lamp designs address this problem. You can turn these lamps on and off simply by touching anywhere on the lamp base. Many designs also offer a dimmer one-touch option as well.
The Fresno Bee interviewed Doug Beach, manager of our Lamps Plus Fresno store, about the trend.
From personal experience, choosing a bar stool or counter stool for any space is harder than it seems!
A quick rule of thumb to keep in mind is to allow for 10 to 12 inches of space between the bottom of the table or bar and the top of the bar stool chair seat.
Anything less than 10 inches and the stool will be too high to be used properly. You might also want to consider an adjustable bar stool that can be custom adjusted to the user as needed.
Check out our YouTube channel video (above), which explains the difference between bar height stools and counter height stools.
