Blogger/designer Centsational Girl included one of our wall mirrors in a fabulous living room redux. She lucked out and grabbed a floor sample of our Casbah Weathered Bronze Wall Mirror at her local Lamps Plus store. She repainted it to match the French-inspired oeuvre, and voila!

Portland blogger Janell Beals at Isabella & Max achieves a table lamp transformation with the help of a LAMPS PLUS shade, some fabric, and a little high gloss paint.

The basic shade she started with was this linen round hardback shade.

She then wrapped it with her choice of fabric, a decorative chinoiserie print with elephants, and repainted the lamp bases. We love the end result. Very nice!

Can a simple light bulb make a difference? If you use one of these three suggestions the answer is a resounding yes!

1) The MR16 LED bulb show above is affordable and replaces a regular MR16. It uses only 4 watts of power, yet outputs the equivelent of a 35 watt bulb. And it will last up to 50,000 hours - that's 17 years of use at 8 hours a day. Use these in a kitchen pendant and you may never have to change a bulb ever again! View more LED light bulb choices.

2) If you have a chandelier or ceiling light that's using clear glass candelabra bulbs, make the switch to decorative frosted candelbra bulbs. These aren't expensive at all, and they can make a big difference in the quality of light that comes from your fixture. It's a little thing, but it will make a difference.

3) If you are still using a regular 3-way incandescent bulb in your 3-way socket lamp, now's the time to switch. New CFLs can now be used in 3-way lamps. You'll use less energy, save money, and still get the convenience of 3-way lighting. Good deal!

Inspired by lighting design in Jenna Lyon's townhouse (Jenna's the it-girl creative director for J. Crew), blogger Jen of Made By Girl went looking for some chandeliers and found some great selections on our site.

LEDs are being used in a wide variety of products and product settings. Here are a few clever work light designs from our product lab that caught my eye.

Book lights have been using LEDs for quite some time. The flowing lines and orgainc pod shape of the white LED clip-on book light (see above) make it a design standout. Click for more LED book lights.

If you've ever been camping and had to stumble to the restroom in the dark, you'll know how handy this hands-free LED light can be. It's also great for under the hood projects.

Need more power? Turn to this LED work light. It's battery operated so there's no hassle with cords and plugs.

This LED light bar is also cord-free, and it has the added advantage of the light bar being able to twist into position.

Add this LED track light to your design table, supply closet or workshop for bright lighting power. The four heads swivel and adjust as needed.

Looking to de-clutter the bedroom? A simple tip is to free space on bed side tables by adding swing arm wall lighting. These wall light designs install in a snap and plug into any standard wall outlet.  

Getting rid of your old bedside lamp leaves the bedside table free and gives your room a cleaner look. It's a little thing, but it works!
