The Spacesaver ceiling fan from Minka Aire offers contemporary styling and superb air circulation. The brushed steel finish of the motor offers a clean look and the hugger mount makes it a good choice for lower ceilings. This good-looking little fan cools my small narrow kitchen wonderfully and has unexpected benefits such as: a mopped floor dries very quickly, dishes in dish drain dry faster, oven cools off faster after it's turned off, I could go on - I just love it! Only two downsides: the light is so dim it cannot adqeuately light the whole kitchen by itself, and the wall-mount controls have a cheesy feel (although they work fine) which raises the concern that the contols might give out long before the fan does.

We installed this fan above the island in the kitchen. It's beautiful and very functional. The size is perfect for the area which is approx 10'x10'. There is also switches (included) installed on the wall, a dimmer for the light (halogen 50W also included) and a choice of speed for the fan. We are very satisfied.
