Great light output for the wattage
This light bulb really does live up to its longevity. The one I previously had was brokenby mistake, but I had it for 5 years. My original reason for the purchase was becauseI am now a caregiver for my mom who is now 86 and lives with me. After my father death, she came to live with me. Upon decorating her room we pickedout a lamp from [...]. The fact that the buld was cool & in her torchier floor lamp got myattention right away, especially her being a senior who reads alot!!! Thanks to you being onthe Internet, I found my replacement bulb and thenice guy I spoke to said that the bulb is a stockitem & you reasily carry it. Price is well worththe years she's used it. Looking foward to doingbusiness with you in the future.Satisfied CustomersLouise& Lorene Penson
I have replaced several torchieres with halogen & then incandescent and ultimately replaced those with this. The torchiere itself was more expensive than the throwaway $25 versions of the previous kinds of lighting, but the great advantages to this bulb are twofold:1) It does NOT burn hot (halogens have caused many a fire, and moths love to use all torchieres for self-sacrifice); 2) It lasts for around 2+ years of constant use. Anything else would have been replaced countless times by now.The only other light in this room is a small overhead fixture (2X60W), in which I now also put fluorescent bulbs (saves so many trips up on ladders!)
Averaged 6 Hours per day in Living Room for 6 years. I would recommend this bulb & System for anyone. Energy savings are good and the light is quite good. It is used in a torchiere-type free standing lamp. It's an odd size & shape, but that is not visible when installed and in use.
