Uniquely designed the Gyro™ gently rotates 360 degrees at 3 RPMs to allow complete air movement throughout the room. High performance twin turbofan heads are adjustable for up and down movement. Brushed nickel finish with chrome accents and cages. Includes integrated halogen light kit and a cap for nonlight kit operation. Wall mount control operates fan head and axis rotation independently. Optional hand-held remote available. Minimum 9 foot ceiling required. Comes standard with 3 1/2" and 6" downrods. Includes one 100 watt halogen light bulb. Dual, double fan design. (UM)

To those of you that use your fans regularly, as we do in Texas the only name we trust besides Hunter is Minka Aire. We have had a Gyro fan in our Great room for some time now. Recently we had an issue with the motor that turns the double fans. Minka stood behind their product and replaced the fan without hassle!I would give them an A++ rating on customer service and product selection. Minka is a name that you can trust. I also must add that everyone that enters our home is intrigued by the beauty and functionality of this ceiling fan.Minka Aire in my opinion is #1 when it comes to customer service,warranty and practicality.To all the other companies in the world,take of lesson from Minka Aire. They do it right! THANKS AGAIN MINKA AIRE.

Great idea, so-so quality control

I REALLY want to love this fan. My house has a cathedral ceiling and this fan is exactly what I need. The problem for me has been that I just now installed my THIRD Minka Gyro in the last couple months in search of one that doesn't have a ridiculously loud rotating motor. Third time is not a charm. I'm sad and frustrated (replacing a fan 22 feet in the air is somewhat inconvenient).I can't believe I have not read more about this problem online... I mean, I've had 3 of these fans and in each case they started out fairly quiet, but within a week the rotating motor is significantly louder than than the fans - which aren't terribly quiet but at least it's just the white-noise you expect from a smaller fan. It's very noticeable and very irritating.I'm also pretty unimpressed by the finish of the fans. The bezel around the fans on my first 2 copies was very scuffed, and my second fan had a big gouge in the center section. It was hidden by the light fixture so I didn't care (as long as it remained silent - which it didn't). Lamps Plus ordered my third directly from Minka (not from their stock) just to make sure I was indeed getting a new unit - since I really couldn't believe they could come from the factory so scuffed and scratched. It's in better shape, but at least as noisy as the last 2. At this point I'm going to check to see if it happens more with the light on - for all the heat it generates.Again, my local Lamps Plus people have been very helpful, I just expect better from a [$] fan.

Bought three years ago.. took three tries to get one that didn't squeak,[...] was wonderful and replaced each one with no hassle. Says a lot about Minka!! We have it in our kitchen, and love it, could use a lower low speed as std height ceilings 8-9 feet it still moves to much air. But EVERYONE who comes over says like the other reviewer said OMG look at that fan and the conversations begin.

We are using this fan in our home gym. it works great because of the adjustable position and intensity that you can direct very specifically while you are exercising. We've had a few problems with rattling and the receiver which required 2 visits from the installation guys... a bit annoying since the fan is so expensive, but at least Lamps Plus is taking care of it. The fan looks great too. We have it in the brushed nickel.

I saw this fan on HGTV,fell in love with it, so I purchased one 2yrs ago and can't say enough about how happy I chose this brand, although the only downside is cleaning...still working on that one, otherwise it's cooling effeciency is great (cools area 1100 ft like nothing)able to keep therm. at 82 while fan brings down tempt to a cool 78 :) and oh yeah, if you buy one get ready to hear the headline statement from all your friends.

I AM ON MY THIRD ONE, IN MY FAMILY ROOM, THE FIRST ONE LASTED TILL I MOVED THREE YEARS LATER THE SECOND ONE FOR SIX YEARS, AND I HAD SO MANY COMPLIMENTS FROM IT,I had to get another to replace it. The main reason was it's reliability and performance, outstanding. Never let me down, or showed any signs of failure. I will always have this model in my family room. VERY PROUD OWNER
