We have two of these fans in a multi-purpose TV room in the lower level of our home. We have lower ceilings, so this is PERFECT. Love, love the design. Very clean lines and contemporary but very neutral. Doesn't look so generic like ones from big chain home improvement stores. One fan wouldn't be enough for a large room so use for smaller rooms or go with more than one like we did. Provides nice amount of light but should be used in addition to other lighting, ie floor or table lamps.

Needed a ceiling hugger unit with light for newly renovated kitchen. Unit looks great! Electrician has taken apart two times... trying to find out where noise is coming from... still hasn't found it and it is not very loud... but otherwise it looks and functions very nicely. blends perfectly with new renovation.

Ceiling-hugger fans never move as much air as conventional down-rod models, but this one does a good job, and is stylish, quiet, and easily installed. Be advised that Lamps Plus' illustration does not show the pull chains; these come from inside the light kit through two small holes in the bottom glass globe retainer cap. If you intend to operate the fan with the optional remote, leave the pullchains tied up and out of sight inside the light globe. However, you'll be left with two small pea-size holes in the retainer cap that light will shine through, unless you find the way to plug the holes. I used two small decorative nuts & bolts to do the job, which worked well.

This is used in my home office. It looks great and does a really fine job of moving the air quietly -- I forget it's on. However, it's a good thing I mostly use the office in the daytime because, using the brightest CFLs that will fit, it doesn't give off enough light to work comfortably at night. (I already had task lighting in the desk area,though, so I can deal with the dim-bulb ceiling.)

Fan is good for a small room 12x12 max. Not noisy at all. Light kit is good, but candelabra bulbs aren't bright enough even at 60w. I used with a dimmer switch and lowest level is good as a night lamp. Higher light levels are acceptable.
