Purchased two of these fans for my previous home and I loved them, my friends commented how nice they were. They were very quiet.

We have a chrome one in another room. We liked it enough to purchase these for 2 of our other rooms.

To replace the one that stopped working.
Amanda K on Aug 14, 2017
We bought several of these fans for our home back in 2010 and appreciate the quality. A couple have started making a slight noise when they're on at different speeds, but two others are still as silent as when we first bought them.

The only drawback is the pull chains as they brush your head as you walk by if the fan isn't over a bed or table.

What is the diameter of the motor housing that mounts to the ceiling?
Linda C on Dec 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The diameter if the housing is 12.25" inches.
Is this compatible with remote control?
Kim A on Aug 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a pull chain operation fan and there is no remote control system compatible with the fan. However, we do have an optional wall control system that is compatible with the fan. If you are browsing on a personal computer, simply click the “Customize This Fan” button on the product detail page to get started, or contact us directly to speak to one of our knowledgeable ceiling fan specialists! Our sales associates can assist you in customizing this fan to meet your needs.
Can I get longer blades for this fan? We bought 6 of them but 2 of our rooms are bigger and would be nice to put longer blades on them.
Rosemary B on Aug 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can order the blades for the 52 inch Casa Habitat and use them instead of the 44 inch blades. It is the same motor. Since replacement parts are special order items, you will need to call in to place your order and verify that we have stock. Please contact one of our customer service specialists for assistance at (877)704-2425 Monday-Sunday 7AM-4:30PM PST and they will be happy to assist you!

Can the light kit be removed? If so, is the cover included?
Rick M on Jul 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have this in bronze and white. It comes with light. The 52" Casa San Marin is similar and comes without light. This website lets you search by various options, size, finish, etc. They'll also help you customize in store.
In the details it states it has a pull-chain operation, but then there is no pull chain in any of the images. Can you clarify?
Erin G on Jun 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, there are 2 pull-chains. One for the fan and one for the light. It comes out of the metal plate that hold the light glass in place.

A Quiet, Dependable and Attractive Fan
We have deliberately opted for ceiling fans and open windows over air conditioning, and therefore have several (6) ceiling fans in our home. These range from "high end" fans to "big box" store brands. we have learned that there is no substitute for a good quality fan. Saving money by purchasing a cheap fan results in noise, wobble, and eventual replacement. This fan ranks with the more expensive quality fans, but did not cost an arm and a leg. This particular fan was added to our kitchen during our complete tear out remodel last year. It fits well and unobtrusively with the decor, and when it is noticed it gets great compliments. We removed the pull chains in favor of the wall mounted four speed / dimming control. I wish the manufacturer provided and alternate part without the holes provided for the chains. (Not a big deal since the holes are small, but it would be a nice touch). Finally, this uses 2 candelabra bulbs rather than standard bulbs, therefore somewhat limiting maximum light output and making it impossible to use compact fluorescent bulbs. Given the design, this is a fair trade-off for the low profile look we were seeking and achieved. Overall, we are VERY satisfied with the fan and Lamps Plus.

Pros: Low Profile, Circulates Air Well, Works in Both Directions, Quiet, Range of Speeds

Cons: Uses Candlelabra Bulbs, Does not support CF bulbs

Best Uses: Smaller Rooms, Decorative, Alternative to AC, Air Circulation

Great fan, but darker than photo
This is a great fan, but it is darker than the "bronze" look. To me, it looks like a dark wood (very dark brown). However, it is a great fan and great for my small rooms.

Pros: Range of Speeds, Quiet, Circulates Air Well

Best Uses: Decorative, Alternative to AC, Smaller Rooms

Beautiful but much darker than pictured
The fan is very nice and simple and looks great for the money. As another reviewer stated it is much darker than pictured - this Web site should replace the current photo with a more accurate one since color is a very important part of a buying decision.

Pros: Quiet, Works in Both Directions, Circulates Air Well

More of the Same!
I have this fan in the Nickel, and now have bought two more in the oil-rubbed bronze. Like the Nickel version, this is quiet and attractive, and it works well in my 1930s Tudor Cottage. I hired an electrician to install this, and my only complaint is that he screwed on the finial at the bottom of the lamp kit too tightly and now I can't get it off to change the light bulb. I'm going to have to use some tools to unscrew it, which will take off the paint/finish. Lampsplus does sell a replacement finial for about $10.00, which I will buy, but be warned: screw on the finial at the bottom so that it's secure, but not so tight that you can't get it undone.

Pros: Attractive, Quiet, Circulates Air Well

Cons: Difficult to Clean

Best Uses: Alternative to AC, Smaller Rooms

Pros: Works in Both Directions, Attractive, Circulates Air Well, Quiet

Best Uses: Smaller Rooms, Decorative

Love My New Ceiling Fans!
I purchased 3 of these for 3 small upstairs bedrooms that are very hot in the summertime. Needed an electrician to run a third wire from each fan/light fixture through the attic space to the new wall switch controls, as I didnt' want to use the pull chains to operate them. Took him all day to do the wiring and install the fans, but they are beautiful and work perfectly! He tied up the pull chains so that they are still present but no longer visible, and I just ordered some hole plugs online to plug up the little holes where the chains were supposed to hang through. Well worth the expense for the electrician!

Pros: Circulates Air Well, Range of Speeds, Works in Both Directions, Attractive, Quiet

Cons: Swinging Pull Chain

Best Uses: Air Circulation, Smaller Rooms, Decorative

doesn't circulate the air well
Put this in a smaller bedroom. Although it was listed having Airflow of 5122 Cubic Feet Per Minute, it actually creates less airflow than my other fans with lower airflow ratings. It's kind of disappointing. It does look very nice, but I think we will still have to use a floor fan to move more air.

Pros: Quiet, Attractive

Cons: Poor airflow

No better fan at this price.
I just installed my third fan of this model. I have added one each year and they are easier and easier to install as the manufacturer has made changes to make it even easier to install for people with less nimble fingers.

It should take no more than an hour to install if you are replacing an existing fan or adding to replace a light. My wife and I did it in 30 minutes.

It is a very quiet and attractive fan.

Pros: Attractive, Easy to install, Quiet

Best Uses: Air Circulation, Decorative, Alternative to AC
