I bought this fan locally and after a short time the remote failed to work. I called for warranty service and they gave me a new remote. This one has also died. I would suggest that you buy Minka Aire instead.
When buying our new house, we thought they looked very nice, a year now later, two of the three ceiling fans have just quit. After reading a little on line about the remote control feature, found that many people have had the same problem, most said compaird to other much lower priced fans, this remote control feature is junk and very costly to fix...
It's in a normal size bedroom that's converted to office. It very powerful so I almost always have it on low
The fan had very light and occassional use and stopped working in less than 10 months. The Casablance warranty was useless. They required a serial number which required me to take off the sleeve (from the ceiling) and unscrew several screws. They lost me at that. I am not capable of doing those things safely. The warranty would only have covered parts and since I have no idea what is wrong, I chose to replace the fan. I would never purchase another Casablanca fan!
