We chose this fan for our transitional-style house because of its simple design that leans neither too contemporary nor rustic. The oil-rubbed bronze finish was also perfect in our light room with dark hardware. We didn't want anything too dark, and the subdued finish fit the bill perfectly. Functionally, this fan is very impressive. It is very quiet at all three speeds, but unless we were battling smoke, I doubt the high setting will ever be used. Our south-facing room gets a lot of natural light/heat, so the fan is a great supplement to our AC to circulate the hot air out. We use the low setting while we sleep, and it is just enough subtle white noise to fill the void while providing the perfect amount of airflow/cool to curl up with blankets in the summer. I would highly recommend this fan!
