If you need a longer down rod, order it with the fan! I tried to use one that I had from the local hardware store, but the Casa fan does NOT use the standard size. We replaced an existing fan, so wiring was already there. We are experienced at fan installation, and it took about 6 hours to install it, including some trial and error with the remote. There is still some wobble in it, so we will need to balance the blades. It looks nice in the room.
