Wall switch was busted when the electrician went to install it, but Lamps Plus replaced it, no problem.
Had a professional do the install because there was no preexisting fixture so I can't comment on how hard or easy it was.

I bought two of them, and they look great. They also work very well, and I would recommend this product to a friend.
Initially, I had a hard time to install it because it was my understanding that the included wall control had to be installed as well.
NO NEED TO USE the wall control if you are replacing an old fan (disconnect the existing fan, and connect the new one, without the wall control).
THE ORIGINAL LIGHT BULBS burned out as soon as they were installed; based on the input of other users, I presume the original light bulbs are of very poor quality.

This is a classy fan that looks great in the MBR. A great decorative look but has great functionality. It provides lots of light, multiple speeds, and blades can be reversed for whatever look you are trying to achieve, black vs brushed steel. I would buy this fan for all my rooms.

Great style for our kitchen. The lack of bright light is not an issue for us because we have "can" lights for our overhead lighting. This fan/light is perfect to leave on until bedtime - it's a nice soft light.

I had an electrician install and it was really easy for him. The wall switch is very nice too and is easy to work. I am very happy with this fan, both in the look and that it cools the room down.

does not use regular light bulbs and the replacement for the light it uses is "very" expensive. the one that comes with the fan burns out immediately as soon as the fan is installed.

I currently own two of these -- they are both in bedrooms. I really like the style for the price, however the full retail seems a little high -- both of mine were purchased on sale. The first one I installed stopped responding about seven months after I bought it -- turns out the "brain" was fried. I had to pay an electrician to replace the brain (which included a replacement remote). The second one still seems to work fine. My big warning about this fixture -- buy extra light bulbs when you purchase it. [...]
