I bought this fan with an additional light kit and down rod. [...] The fan has a hot wire for the fan and another for the light kit, but the instructions only show one hot, so it helps to have some electrical experience (though the better answer is to revise the directions). Otherwise, installation was straight forward, if you are patient and methodical. My only 'complaint' is the extremely thin and easily marred dark finish on the blades. They are way too easily scratched during assembly; the dynamic balancing kit to correct the wobble also mars the blades. I guess that's why they invented dark brown 'Sharpies.'

Perfect size for our master bedroom. The blade holders were a little difficult to install to the fan motor. I also had to wait a week for the blade holders because they forgot to pack them in the original box. The fan looks nice and matches our decor, so we are happy with the unit.

This is a replacement in the master bedroom. Just the right size. Love the wall mount holder for the remote. However, the remote needs to have a reverse switch on it instead of on the fan body which is difficult to reach.

Very pleased with these fans. I originally purchased two Hunter fans from [...] and immediately returned them because both had a terribly annoying hum on all speeds. I even replaced the switches with top of the line Lutrons and nothing helped.My greatroom has very limited air circulation and no real cross breeze with windows open. Installed these fans DIY and absolutely love them. No cons at this point and don't expect any. Highly recommended.

I purchased this Casa Vieja Journey fan for a media room. Because I did not have a wall switch the remote was crucial. I have probably installed over 50 ceiling fans ranging from Hunter and Hampton Bay and no name fans. Pardon the pun but this fan blows them away!This has to be one of the easiest installations I have ever done. The blades use the fast clip method, they only need one screw for each blade to attach to the motor. The decorative canopy that hides the wiring has push in buttons so that you can just snap the canopy on and then screw it in. This may sound like little things to you but anyone who has ever had one side of the canopy not fit right because you just can't get the screwdriver in just right, will understand what I mean. This attention to detail made it a snap to install.One of the reasons I selected this fan was its efficiency rating of 94! Most fans are around 75. This one really pushes the air and is whisper quiet. The only sound you hear is the air moving.In short, this fan is beautiful and easy to install. It does what a fan should do and moves a ton of air. Being in a media room I needed it to be quiet and it is. I highly recommend Casa Viera to everyone![...] Once I got the fan installed I could not wait to write this review. I give the seller and maker a perfect 10!
