The fan 1) looks nice, 2) is really quiet, and 3) pushes some serious air. The installation and the manual are TERRIBLE though. I'm an engineer and my father is an electrician, and despite the experience we have this was still confusing. We ended up with 10 extra screws and we easily spent an extra hour just trying to interpret the manual. For example, it says to use "screws" to install the hanging bracket but there are easily 10 different screws in the box! Eventually, when none of them worked, we had to go into our own collection to make it work. Also, the parts aren't labelled very clearly, so it's like reading a medical textbook when you don't know any of the terms. In the end, we deciphered the manual and put it together, and it runs great. HOWEVER, we had to come back here to the website to figure out how to reverse the direction. The manual clearly wasn't written by any engineers I've ever taught... well and it's made in China anyway.

This fan is sooo quiet and if wanted will blow like a storm in bed. High is high and slow is very cool and peaceful. Looks nice and is easy to use with a touch. The wall mount remote is great. I looked at a lot of fans at several places; went home with this one and happy I did.

Beautiful and silent

Quiet, Attractive

Wobbles

I love the look of this ceiling fan. It works silently as well. I bought one for the dining room and one for the bedroom (same model, different colors). I had an electrician install... I don't trust myself to do it. There is assembly required - the fan blades to the metal part. Thank goodness the electrician did that. I wish this came in a mount for low ceilings. I don't like the pole. It makes it wobbly (not much, but it does do it). All in all, I am pleased with this purchase.

As with others, when I first installed this fan I found it wobbled when set on high. The issue I think is that the canopy and mounting bracket are sized comparatively small, so if mounted against plain old ceiling drywall it doesn't provide the stability to prevent the wobble. And in my case, the deteriorated drywall around the hole didn't give the bracket much surface to butt up against. Here's what I did. I took it all down (drat!). I went to the hardware store and bought an open recessed light trim ring ($8) and a pair of 2.25-inch 8/32 screws to replace the mounting bracket screws that came with the fan. I put the ring over the drywall hole and then installed the bracket on top of that, using the longer screws to reach the junction box screw holes. The ring served as a gasket to shore up the drywall. Then I re-installed the fan and turned it on - viola! no wobble. It's rock solid even on high. This worked for me; it might work for others. Others have complained the light is dim, and there is a fix there, too. Buy LED 60-watt replacement candelabra bulbs. Mine pull 9 watts, and as long as you don't exceed 60 watts per bulb it is safe to do so. They provide far better light output.

PROS: ~Looks great, nice modern look. Took us a long time to find a modern, yet moderately priced fan like this. ~Paddles are reversible -- you can have two different colored looks. ~Comes with a wall-mountable remote control with light, reverse and different fan speeds. ~Quiet. ~Dimmable. CONS: ~Light is not very bright. We have this fan in our bedroom and our office and have to have other lights on in order to supplement. It's not bright enough to read by. We had this fan professionally installed by Lamps Plus.
