When I bought my home, which is a traditional cottage, this fan was already installed in the room I use as an office. I love its modern elegance, and I have some modern touches in a mainly traditional look. I don't love ceiling fans, but this one is fabulous for keeping summer AC costs down. I have to keep it on low in this small room in order not to be too cold in our Dallas heat! So I'm going to get one for my bedroom next year because I like the house cool at night, and the fan that is currently in there doesn't help enough. That's a larger room where I might use the faster settings. My daughter is getting one for her bedroom today because that part of her new house doesn't cool as much as she needs. I wish it could be used for out of doors... or I could find one as good for the deck. I'm at a loss there! BTW, mine has steel finished blades, not mahogany.

It is better looking than I expected, it is beautiful. The wood is rich in color. It can fit in any decor. Even in the most humid weather, we used it instead of the A/C and it provides fresh, comfortable air flow. It wobbles ever so slightly, but that could be the deep slant of the ceiling or the installer (?).
