This Concept II brushed nickel flushmount-style ceiling fan is ideal for low-ceiling applications. Included with this contemporary fan is a full-functioning hand held remote control and concave silver blades. It has a 172x20 motor with a lifetime warranty. Integrated light kit includes one 100 mini-can halogen bulb and a cap for non light kit usage. A Minka Aire Designer series fan. (UM)

I love this fan for my family room. i needed one to hug the ceiling that was attractive and this is perfect. the only reason i couldn't give it 5 stars is the lack of brightness of the light. i have to use alternative lighting even for the most basic necessities. i haven't looked into how to brighten it up...if it will take brighter bulbs or if there is a cover that will allow more light through. i plan to do so but am still very happy with it in general. i also like the remote holder that attaches to a wall so you can operate it like a wall switch or have it portable.

I looked for years before I found this light/fan combination. It is quite stylish and can be installed in a home with a fairly low ceiling. I get compliments on this light. People who visit our home want to know where we bought it. It is installed it in the bedroom and we have other lights in the room. But this light is so dim, that even on the highest setting we feel like we can no longer enjoy the pictures hanging on the wall. Does anyone know if I can replace the halogen with a brighter halogen bulb or wire in a second halogen bulb? If so, is there a lighting kit from the manufacturer or from Lamps Plus where I bought it. If I can't wire in a second halogen bulb, what is the maximum halogen bulb that can safely be used in the light?

I have one in my living room and one in my master bedroom. I have 9' ceilings, and to me, the fans are a perfect height. I like the option of lights or no lights. I am using the caps and like that look, but may change my mind in the future. It's very easy to make the switch. Oh, and the remote works very good. Everything is on the remote. Lamps Plus installed the fans.

Everyone who sees this fan thinks it cost a lot more than it actually does. My contractor liked it so much that he is going to get one for his house. He also said it was the easiest ceiling fan he had ever installed. I only wish the blades were brushed nickel as well, like the center piece. They are a dark gray plastic.
