This fan is really beautiful. I just had it installed in my living room, which has an 18ft ceiling. I choose this fan because I wanted a "dramatic look" in that room. And, I can surely say that it lives up to it's expectations. After finding a ladder with the proper height, it was no problem for my electrician to install this fan. It doesn't provide much light, but I don't usually use an overhead light in my living room. It arrived well-packaged in a timely manner. The only problem I'm having now is how to use the reverse modes on the wall plate. Any advice? Do you press the arrow button once, twice, etc??? In addition, I love the different colors of this fan. But, notice that the Gauguin and "Beige" have different colors for the bulb, in which the blades rest on. My advice is to look closely at the colors. Also, definitely look at your surroudings and decor when deciding on the color. Good luck.

I have a living room with a 16 ft. ceiling and had this fan installed with a 72" downrod. This fan is the best I've ever owned and is absolutely gorgious. This beauty gave me the "Wow" factor I was looking for. You won't be disappointed.

The fan is beautiful and works well. It has a much cleaner look than other "tropical" fans and the blades are made of a hard material, not woven. I especially love the small center light. It gives great illumination without the bulkiness. I have this in my bedroom...looks awesome. The fan has a dimming wall switch but no remote.
