I will admit that I had some difficulty installing this, but I think it had more to do with my lack of proficiency that with the product itself. The only complaint I have is that the light tends to be kind of harsh but also not very bright at the same time. Light goes straight down kind of pool table light style. Overall I'm very happy, though. I had purchased another fan from Home Depot that I returned because it looked super chintzy. This one looks nice. Good quality. I actually think it looks better in person than in the picture.

The fan looks great- I love it- and it's smooth, wobble-free and was straight-forward to install. One thing to know- the 'frosted opal shade' is white plastic. I expected glass- it's not unattractive once up, but it is fairly white and bright- I expected a slightly softer more 'opal' light. Also, 1 technical problem, the fan seemed to catch metal on metal when rotating, making an annoying noise, we fixed this by pulling the 2 metal parts that were grazing each other apart slightly. The fan works well, and looks great, but did require a little home-made solution to fix this problem. [...]
