The fan has been up in our bedroom for just over a month now and we couldn't be happier with it. There is the tiniest of wobbles when on full speed, but even at that, there is no noise associated with it outside of the wind it creates. At any of the other settings, the fan is rock solid. Now to the con: Unless you purchase the three light add on light fixture, you can not rely on the fan to be used as a light source. The light it comes with is basically a nightlight uplight consisting of several appliance bulbs (the one that go into your fridge or range hoods). So the light the fan gives of is incredibly low, which we have actually come to appreciate as you don't get that blinding, "I want to hurt you" sensation when you're sleeping and someone turns the light on you! But you will need additional overhead lighting with his fan (or purchase the optional light kit).

very old world
By peace Verified Purchaser from dearborn, michigan on 12/26/2009
Pros:
Range of Speeds, Circulates Air Well, Quiet
Best Uses:
Air Circulation, Decorative, Smaller Rooms
Bottom Line:

If using this for a main light source, especially in a high ceiling or big room, than this is not for you. Even with the attached light kit there was not enough lighting because the light comes out like a candle. Other than that the fan and light kit together look great, very old world.

Lamps Plus Response: Dear peace, Thanks for taking the time to comment. Unfortunately there's not much we can do to increase the wattage. Current federal energy regulations set wattage requirements for ceiling fans. Because of this, many fan light kits are limited to a 190 watt maximum. The type and quantity of bulbs that can be included and/ or added to ceiling fans are specified under these requirements. You may want to see if any of the other lighting from the Natural Mica Collection might fit with your home for additional light. -The LAMPS PLUS Team

Very pretty and well built fan. It is more difficult to put together than most fans. Difficulty getting light in housing to work. Still working on that issue.
