Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The fan is very quiet. I also did not need any fan blade weights. When you have it in the fastest speed you hear the tips of the blades more than anything else. 1st and 2nd speed setting, all by pull chain, are very quiet. I wish it blew a little more air in the 3rd speed setting but it does blow. Pull chain seems stable and not flimsy. I'd give it 4.5 stars because I wish it blew a little more . .. But it is quiet and I think I am just being picky.
