Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am a General Contractor and recently had problems with a very high end kitchen remodel. The puck lights the owner chose were halogen bulbs which consumed about 60 watts each and were disallowed by the building inspector. These puck lights are florescent bulbs, matched the preexisting holes exactly, are energy star efficient and solved my problems completely. Not only was I complete satisfied with these I have ALWAYS found each and every product purchased from Lamps Plus to be of good quality and always a good value as well. Worked OK for a little while. . .

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Liked it at first. But after only three weeks one unit just quit. It isn't the bulb, rather a faulty connection between bulb and its base. If you press down hard on the bulb it will come on. But standing there all the time doing this isn't a very practical solution. . . Three units in series produces a bit more light than 1 regular 40W bulb. It's pure white light, however.
