Very attractive wall sconce. We hung it in a stairway and it sets the tone beautifully for the transition into our updated, mod basement. I could see using several of these sconces in a larger room. Nice quality.

We have two mounted in the entrance way on columns and they provide soft general lighting. The globe light is fairly even over the surface of the lamp. Also it takes a regular small wattage bulb for a great effect.

This works out great for a staircase. On the picture it looks black, but actually looks more darkish brown/black. Fits a tranistional design, though would go with modern, contemporary, or would add a flash of flair to traditional.
