I bought this lamp to go on the table between two recliners. Our furniture is mission style and the lamp looks terrific. However, due to the height of our table, I can see the bulbs when seated in the chair. The light casts dark shadows. It is difficult to read due to the glare from the visible bulbs. I have tried different bulbs but nothing seems to correct the problem. Will use the lamp on a desk and get something different for my living room table.

This lamp is used for both reading and general illumination of a small area. For reading, it's ok but not the brightest of lamps. I like it better for general illumination of the living room area as it has a very warm glow to it. It is also a very good looking lamp and was very reasonably priced (on sale).
The major drawback to it is that it was VERY difficult to assemble. All the glass pieces of the lamp shade had to be placed individually and due to the design, this wasn't easy to do. Moreover, it was packed in a "solid" styrofoam packaging that fell apart into a million little balls that floated everywhere! If that were not enough, the lamp had a rough blemish on the base which has since chipped off w/ light dusting, thus leaving a tiny bare patch. Although I would really like to exchange it, I am dreading the unpackaging and assembly of the new unit!
Having said all that, I would probably buy again as it is a very lovely lamp with a warm, enviting glow. You decide...

This replaced an inexpensive candlestick lamp on a table in our family room. The lamp's look is its overriding selling feature complementing the type of furniture we have in the room. It is sleek, easy to put together and simple to operate.
Got it on sale at 1/2 price off. Only limitation is that it would be nice to be able to put bulbs with higher wattage in for a brighter reading light.
Still, an excellent value overall.

A beautiful lamp. Very nice honey colour glass. Lamp base is so dark its almost black (might be black). Not as tall as other lamps but I really like the height because I dont see the bulbs when sitting down. Easy to assemble. A touch dimmer is a must. (if you dont see it on Lamps Plus site, just ask, they got the ones I wanted). Excellent lighting to relax to or to light up the room. Definetly a lamp to consider buying. [...]Only cons would be packaging and slight shadows from tabs that hold the glass. Value: excellent, as I would have wasted more time and gas looking for lamps.I put 2 lamps on black vinyl table mats on a glass coffee table between my chairs.

I got this lamp as a present for my daughter for her office. It really is a nice accent and adds a warmer homey feeling.
I was a little disappointed when it arrived that the glass is not set in as a Tiffany style lamp usually is. It was one solid piece for each side which clipped into place.

It accentuates an office desk but I wouldn't hesitate to use it in other rooms. The shade isn't too opaque or bright; it's more of a honey color, not as light as it appears in the picture. It gives off a soft illuminosity. It was easy to assemble.

We bought these lights for the end tables in our family room. They look great and go with the decor. However, we were concerned with the way the lights on all four sides attached into the lamp. You have to bend tabs to put the glass in place. If you had to remove the glass more than once or twice for any reason, we do not believe the tabs would last very long.
