I purchased these remotes after Christmas last year and had a use for them even then. We moved to a new house with a loft and I put a Christmas tree up there and lighted garlands on the railings. Now I don't have to run up the steps to plug and unplug any of them. I just press one, two and three and everything is on or off! So efficient! My only problem with them is that they are so large that they cover the other socket so that it can't be used.
This works 1st time, every time

I am so spoiled to my remote control switch, I have to order another for my best friend's Christmas gift. On a tabletop it is the greatest to have quick access to light when needed and quick dark when desired.

The lamp is on the other side of the room so the control makes it easy to turn the light on and off without leaving the bed. The price was good and the convenience is worth much more.

It's late and it's dark and let's say you're in your bedroom or any other room at night, and you need something from another room. If you're like me, I leave my briefcase in the living room on a chair next to an end table, and the light on that table doesn't have a wall switch. Well, what do you have to do? Cross the room, hope I don't kick the cat or stub my toe, then fumble with the lights. This solved it all for me. Now I can illuminate any room before I set foot in it. I think my cat and dog that love to lay in the middle of the floor love me for it too. I know these devices have been around for many years only at a much higher cost.
