One reason I chose this light was because the size covered a large hole in the ceiling where I removed a light/heating element/fan box in my 1930's bathroom. I did need to buy a long metal attachment-thing (the woman at the hardware store knew what it was) to the hole before screwing in the fixture. Putting in 2 20-watt instant-on mini soft white cfl's keeps the light bright but not that "office" fluorescent blue light. It took 2 people to hold and install it because the glass just floats in the metal, but I am new to replacing light fixtures. I will probably ask for help replacing light bulbs for the same reason.

I have them in the hallways that lead to the bedrooms and in the bedrooms. I use the energy efficient bulbs and they give out a lot of light. The contemporary fixture has a very attractive and streamlined profile.

This was for a very particular client and we were on a tight budget and this light was a great pick for three rooms adding to the overall look.

I bought two of these for my kitchen, and they're very good fixtures. They're good looking, and give off plenty of light between them. The only downside - changing bulbs requires that you remove some fiddly caps to take the fixture apart. But, hardly a big deal. Good buy!

This light is attractive and is VERY bright with two 23watt CFL lights bulbs installed. Great for hallway and entry way lighting.
