This lamp is truly a work of art! It is beautifully detailed and very well made. I mainly purchased this lamp for decorative purposes; not as a main lighting source. Because of the solid metal shade this lamp does not illuminate a large area, but if you are looking for a stunning accent light this is perfect!

These lamps add a great deal of artistic flair to my black office desk. They are fabulous pieces of art and work nicely with my beige and black zebra patterned chair; red leather chaise; ivory and black rug; and black and white wall art. The on/off switch is difficult to reach and they don't offer great lighting but their whimsy and style outweigh any shortcomings. I thought about returning them.....but only for a split second. Stripes are high style and I just love that they're from a New Orleans artisan.
