I especially like the fact that the lamp shade has a reflective gold lining. During the day, this reflective lining sometimes even makes the lamp look like it is turned on as it reflects off my new executive desk!

This is a beautiful lamp and makes a great appearance, but has poor illumination if you want to use it for any reading or working purposes. Unfortunately many lamps are like that these days as everyone wants us to go blind using low wattage bulbs to save the planet from some problem that no one really fully understands.

The shade on the brass lamp needs to extend higher and lower, it does not provides adequite coverage for the bulbs and therefore is not usable as a desk lamp.

This lamp was just what I had been hunting for in many dept. stores. It looks like something found in a lawyers office. A no-nonsense rich looking brass lamp. An excellent example of good taste and understated choice!!
