We have a high ceiling living area (20 feet) and put seven of these along the walls of a very large living room/greatroom space. They are the perfect light for the high walls - located about 9 feet up the wall, and cast just the right amount of light. Easy to change the lightbulbs, stylish looking and GLASS shades (not plastic!). We would recommend HIGHLY.[...]

This was a rare find. A sconce with up and down lighting and they look great in our loft with a 17' ceiling.
