ALWAYS A COMPLIMENT WITH THESE LIGHTS & ALWAYS DES

This larger light is centered above the sink/cooking/refrigerator/& bar area giving plenty of light and smaller light above the cupboards in an open pantry section. The table section had to get a different light as these were not able to be dimmed. So Happy with these lights! These lights were installed by my contractors Electrician & looked easy enough with the directions.

It is smaller than I thought and is really too small for the space . . . will end up moving it to another space. I thought it would reflect light onto the ceiling and make a cool pattern, but it really doesn't. I think it is best suited to a bedroom or smaller space because it doesn't provide the pizzaz for a living area.

What a show stopper . Everyone who sees it, first thing they say "wow" where did you get that. The lighting is nice and bright not dingy like most lights I purchased. I have it in my entry . I think entryway lighting should be unique and full of personality and this piece hits the mark on all that plus.

Difficult Assembly but Probably Worth It
By Noname Verified Reviewer from Boulder, Colorado on 6/27/2010

Best Uses:

This fixture is quite lovely, but when viewed from the side and below (I have installed it in an open second floor loft area comparable to a hall in lighting requirements but more conspicuous), especially when not lit, the pierced chrome cylinder is too conspicuous. This fact does show in one of the photos provided. The contrast between the globes with and without bulbs is also a bit of a drawback when lit. The fixture is very bright. For some uses, such as mine, it would be nice to have the option of less bright bulbs. Like someone's electrician, I was afraid that the first of the bulb-containing globes I tried to install might break and cut my hand. (And I did not think I would be able to grasp it securely enough if I put on a protective leather work glove)Because there was an extra of that size, I set it aside and used another. (The box contained one extra small globe and one extra medium sized bulb-containing globe.) Although the instructions indicate these globes should be pushed straight upward, I think they are more easily installed using a twisting motion. I anticipate that replacing bulbs will be a bit of an ordeal because of the difficulty of removing and replacing the globes. I was surprised that so many customers complained about difficulty of cleaning because I assume most reviews are written shortly after purchase, but I now understand that comment. One is very likely to do the assembly with bare hands for the best grip. Although my hands were clean, I still left some finger print marks. Very important to do the assembly with clean hands or some type of clean glove that provides a good grip. There are no cleaning instructions and I do not know what would be the best way to clean the frosted surfaces of the globes.

Installed over kitchen table..Light is great. I have it on a dimmer; so reading or romantic touch to dinner it is great. The lights were very hard to "snap" in place, but with much patience it is done and worth the effort.
