I looked a long time for a sharp-looking, but inexpensive halogen fixture that I could use in my kitchen in multiples to replace the ugly builder can lighting Pulte put there when the house was built. Can lights are inexpensive to buy but cost a lot to use because they require huge spotlight bulbs that burn out all the time -- and they look very '70s.
These fixtures were easy to install -- did it myself -- and the bulbs are much easier to put in than lights that surround the halogen bulb with a glass shade that has no purpose anyway.
I did nothing in my kitchen except replace the bisque appliances with stainless ones, exchange a beige sink with a stainless one, put nickel handles on the cheap builder cabinets, and install these lights fixtures, and BINGO, everyone thinks I totally remodeled the kitchen. Someone actually asked me who my contractor was. The room now looks stylish and contemporary even though I have the same old boring countertops, flooring, and cabinets.

WE PUT IN NEW BLACK COUNTERTOPS AND THE NEW RECESSED LIGHTING WAS NOT ENOUGH AND WE CHANGED TO THESE NEW LIGHTS AND LOVE THEM.

This is a wonderful element! The light pools concentrate and direct light onto specific areas of my countertop and dining room tables from one central point in the ceiling, and whenever I need the light focus shifted I rearrange the goose neck. It's just perfect. I purchase all my lighting from Lamps Plus, and get incredible value for money. I've never been disappointed, and if something doesn't work out for me it's EZ to return, no hassle.
