A waste - Not as advertised

Purchased to use as a night light in a small bathroom without an outlet. This could have been a great solution but because it was engineeered with 3 AA batteries. Disapointedly this unit is a waste. It advertises itself with a 100 hour battery life which is n o t the case, closer to 14 hours. Packaged in a rack friendly blister pack, Lamps Plus still requires you have the orginal packaging for any claim or return despite the packaging is impossible to reuse. hard to determine whether this unit is defective under the circumstances. I bought a foreclosed farmhouse in Aug 2010 & have renovated it to become a Euro style Villa, a true labor of love. Because I am an artist and this is my first home, I intend for each room to be a separate canvas, a distinct feel & ambience. Lighting is a critical component to establish that atmosphere. I did an 8 ft hight wall mural in brilliant colors, a sort of Parisian-N'awlins theme and needed to highlight the mural, began the long search for spotlights. I also wanted them to be as "green" as possible, not something I have to plug in to use. Lamps Plus's little LED spots were the PERFECT solution to my lighting quest. I've uploaded a pic for you to see how well they light the mural; I get tons of compliments on the artwork, but everybody always asks WHERE did you get the spots ??!? I'm happy to direct them to Lamps Plus. I got spectacular accent lighting at a pittance price, can't ask for more than that~ Artist-Author Susi Franco
