From the Hanover series of lighting by Robert Sonneman, this design features a classic sense of line and proportion. The plate style base and twin bulb arms are in a black nickel finish over solid brass construction. A wide natural linen shade hovers over the base. High-low line cord switch.

I needed a low profile lamp and this was the perfect height. Nice solid base, but the shade does not seat properly and constantly tilts. Also, it comes with a light diffuser that throws a shadow 3/4 of the way up the shade which looks unattractive. I wanted to use CFL bulbs with it, but diffuser has an old fashioned double loop wire that slips over the bulbs and only works with round regular bulbs. Not worth the money.

The terrific design is a natural focal point on a simple, black parsons hall table. Provides just enough light for the space as well as "lengthens" the look of the space. It is a constant conversation piece! There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about this wonderful piece!

I bought two to sit on low sideboard and illuminate several prints above. They do the job and look good, but cheaply constructed and the switch cord hangs down behind, making them very difficult to turn on and off. There should be a switch in the base itself.
