This thing is bright! Our fixture is installed over a large mirror above a double sink vanity. It takes 4 100w Halogen bulbs! You can actually feel the warmth from the fixture when cranked all the way up. First, I would most definitely only use this with a dimmer. Since it comes with the bulbs, it doesn't make too much sense cost-wise to replace all 4 with a lover wattage, and frankly, the dimmer adds a lot of convenience. Also, quality, higher wattage bulbs should last much longer if you aren't keeping them on full tilt all the time. There are 3 and 5 lamp models also, but this was the best aesthetic for the space involved.Surprisingly, there are times where we actually can benefit from the extra light, but for most of the time, without the dimmer it's like setting foot on the Sun.The finish looks good - very muted and dark, flat texture, not too smooth. I've seen other dark bronze fixtures that are glossy, which seems to defeat the aged look. The globes are a little dark and toward the yellow end of the spectrum for my taste (they have other models/finishes with whiter, non transparent glass), but it does give a warm glow, especially with the lights dimmed. An original bulb burned out within 2 months of installation, so it was replaced. It could have just been weakened from vibration in shipping, or it could be that three women in our house use this bathroom - it definitely gets a workout. Replacing bulbs is a conventional design with 3 set screws holding the globe - annoying, but no more than any other fixture, and the bulb was easily accessible. One small peeve about doing this kind of bulb replacement is my experience with cheaply made fixtures - the set screws don't travel smoothly, and are difficult to replace. This replacement went better - no grinding, the screws are precisely machined and are easily handled. Another unexpected benefit was that with one bulb burned out you never missed it. 300w has more than enough lumen range, even with the dimmer, to handle our bathroom. If you can't replace a bulb right away, it's not like you're going to be fumbling around in the dark.We had a contractor install it since they were redoing the whole room, but it didn't look too tough - traditional wall mounting, well laid out wiring, clear diagrams. The only thing I would caution is that if it's replacing another fixture, what's behind the old one may not be covered by the replacement.I would definitely use this brand again.[...]

Unfortunately, the person that I hired to redo the bathroom was an idiot. One of his mistakes was to install the light using only 2 screws to hold in many of the glass globes. Unfortunately, one broke, and I was unable to get a replacement that perfectly matched the other globes.
