We upgraded our lighting in our 1990's home following installing Quartz counter tops. Quite frankly the new lighting makes as much difference as the expensive counter tops.

Currently using this light over my kitchen sink to replace an outdated fixture. Provides great illumination as well as a lot of style. This light is slightly more challenging to install than say simpler fixtures, but if you aren't all thumbs you should be fine. It's not a fifteen minute job though. The design brings a contemporary look to my kitchen helping to update it's overall appearance - without being too modern. Perfect for over the sink or an island.

Needed to replace a fixture directly over the sink and was looking for something stylish and not über bright. Surprisingly, this fixture with it's 100 watt halogen works nicely! I used only one of the 12 inch extensions - just enough to bring the light toward the sink but not too close.
