I use this lamp with a dimmer, and have it hung over the dining room table. It uses regular Edison type incandescent lamps (60-100)watts; so it provides great illumination. I'd buy it again if I needed another hanging lamp, and I really think it is beautiful in the Tiffany style. It's expensive, but worth it!

We purcahsed this lamp after looking for many months for the perfect lighting for our entry. Not only did it come perfectly packed wtihout any damage, it was even more beautiful than we thought.
The height was perfect - just clearing the front door when opened.

We used it to replace a dumb looking chandelier that came with the apartment. I have had the Mission style torch for a few weeks and they look really nice in the same room.

Ignore the other reviewers who say that this is not stained glass, it is. I think they don't know what stained glass actually feels like. It is not glass like a coke bottle, it always feels like plastic. You should go into a light fixture store and learn the difference.

I replaced an outdated fixture in my eating area - a dining room connected to the kitchen - with this fixture. It instantly updated the look and gave me the "prairie" feel I was looking for. The picture didn't do it justice.

The big surprise for me was how lightweight it was - and I think that's because it's not made of glass... it feels more like plastic. (And I believe that's true of other items in this line - I own two others.)
Be aware that the description says "Mission style" and you don't see the word "glass" anywhere in it.
I decided that doesn't matter, because it looks good, installed easily enough, and provides the look and light I needed.
