Needed this to illuminate a corner in our family room. It fits the bill, and I like that I can clip it up out of the way. It's not flimsy, but weightier than I expected. Sturdy construction, with a plastic clip that does not seem like it will mar wood furniture. It has swivel and hinge features so that you can get it to aim just about any direction you need. One caveat: the metal shade heats up a fair amount, so do not install near drapes, blinds, etc.
