Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this lamp for reading, behind my large sectional couch. It's really cute from several angles, but, the main angle shows the bulb sticking out. I wish it were taller and could be bent downward so the bulb would not show. It does give good focused light for reading, and has a sleek look (if you don't think about that bulb). Good price.
