I do love this lamp and would give it 5 stars except for the heat factor. I nearly die sitting under it. I can deflect the light a bit and that helps, but don't think halogen is a good fit for a reading lamp like this.

We have this between 2 chairs. Like the dual switches/dimmers and being able to control height. Is a little tipsy if both arms are on same side so manufacturer should have the base weighted. Don't know how difficult it will be to change bulbs.

The double light lamp fits between the living room chair and couch. Both reading positions have a light that can be positioned for their own need. Each light has it's own on and off dimmer switch. We love the lamp in our home.

We've placed this floor lamp against a wall, behind a table. This table is very small and does not have room for a lamp. Now we can sit in our chairs and read comfortably.

We use it for reading between two chairs in our TV room. One can watch TV while the other reads. Works well, looks good and not very expensive. Haven't had it long enough to change a light bulb and hope that is easy.

I use this lamp beside my chair so that I can see to grade papers, do hand stitching, etc. It can get very hot under there! It's a plus in the winter...a minus in the summer. Anytime I get cold, I can get under this lamp and heat myself right up! Bulbs last a long time and aren't any harder than any other halogen lamp. Halogen bulbs are typically hard to change. I love the light it produces though...good work light.

Beware - I would not recommend this product if you are going to sit anywhere near it. The Halogen bulbs burn VERY hot. They fail to tell you that in the information.
