Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I plugged it in a counter height outlet in the kitchen. Gorgeous. Better as a piece of art for a lone outlet than a nightlight. I didn't particularly care for how the bulb looked behind it when it was lit. But, I love the color which is mostly red orange with an inner grey that is all metallic. It's very pretty.
