In the box there is an odd looking piece of plastic. I figured out that it was to help assemble the glass part of the lamp. It's hard to explain but at least you will know more then I did. LOL Enjoy the lamp it is big and beautiful I love it. It looks great behind my sectional. I ordered the very small 40 watt spot light bulbs. They are perfect.

This lamp looks great behind my sectional. It is big and tall. Make sure your room can handle it. A little hard to put together. I am trying to find the perfect bulb because they show.
