This handy light sensor provides extra security when you're away from home. Just screw into any standard light socket. A built-in photocell turns the lamp on at dusk and off at dawn. Not for use with fluorescent lights, appliances or other non-incandescent lights. Use with 25 to 150 watt incandescent lights. Maximum 150 watt facing up or down in open fixtures. Maximum 60 watt in enclosed fixtures incandescent/halogen.

Doesnt works with LED bulbs, poorly works with CFL bulbs. Use only with incandescent - which I dont use, hence the sensor was useless.

Doesn't work well in shaded areas

Bought two for two outdoor lamps - both are in the shade. Installed them but the lights stay on all day. If i shine a flashlight toward the sensor, the lamp goes out so it seems its just not sensitive enough if lamp is in shaded area.

The problem with this product is it's sensitivity. It activates light in any low light situation such as any heavily overcast day. Product also does not fit into a deep socket, thus limiting it's use in some light fixtures.
