I have a small but distinct foyer with 8ft high walls that needed a ceiling lamp that had design interest, was not flush to the ceiling and wasn't overpowering. This works very well. It was not difficult to install. I am considering using the flush version for an upstairs hallway.

[...] The screws on the center rod are poorly designed as they block the wires and make it difficult to assemble. The look of the lamp is not as nice when viewed from bottom up.
