This contemporary torchiere floor lamp has two bulbs in the top torchiere plus twin adjustable side lights on the pole.More Details >
The design was inspired by tree floor lamps with a center pole and adjustable side lights. The contemporary version seen here has a torchiere style light at the top that shines light towards the ceiling for general room illumination. Two bullet lights on the pole can be adjusted for reading or other tasks. Pole and lights are in a black gloss finish. By Possini Euro Design®.

Most everyone could use a bight floor lamp but most don't know it. I was able to find 125 watt equivalent LED - dimmable light bulbs for the top and the room is so brightly lit up. It is so safe having a floor switch that protects from someone using too high of wattage bulbs. Lets say you try to put 150 watt incandescent bulbs the switch will automatically turn off until the right wattage is used :-). It is a well made, easily assembled and quality lamp. This tourchiere lamp was a replacement for the same lamp purchased 25 years ago. Due to unforeseen circumstances the old one was broken. I am so glad I found the same one all these years later. I love the lower lamps for reading in my favorite chair.
GOOD: The bottom of the lamp stand is heavy which is good for stability. On/off dimmer switch waist high on the pole is convenient. BAD: Dish at top of lamp very shallow, the lights bulbs show prominently, not the best look. The cord is bizarre and cumbersome consisting of 2 cords connected to a boxy on/off switch before the plug. The cords are also unusually long requiring bundling of cords to keep out of the way, not the best look. OVERALL: Generally good looking lamp best suited for bedroom or casual areas because of the torchiere and cord issues. I would not want to use for living rooms, dining rooms, etc.
The torch light is not lighted up after assembly. We planed to return after many tries. But we missed the return date. Two months later, the light was suddenly lighted up.
Removing the packaging was more challenging than the assembly - but this is a good sturdy lamp with easily accessible knobs. I will get some PAR bulbs for the side lights just because they will look better, but meanwhile 60w traditional bulbs are serviceable. The price was certainly right too.
I called customer service about which lights to use and asked if I could use CFL's. The torche light is dimmer controled and uses incandescent bulbs( which i didn't want to use. C/S said I could use CFL's ???? Otherwise the lamp is fine--EASY assembly, looks good.
Useful to add light to room w/no overhead lighting Would help to be able to better direct aim of lower lights on pole
Living room chair for reading and general illumination. I have cathedral ceilings and the torchiere light is nearly lost in the height. I would do better to have a down angle illumination lamp. The spots are great. Turning knobs are perfect for using while sitting. And I love the dimmer. Overall the best I have found for my criteria. I would recommend it.
Used for living room lighting, for reading and lighting.
The assembly is problematic because the threaded piece that connects the to parts of the center shaft is plastic and if you miss the threads it is hard to get it straight. Mine is permanently tilted, which was annoying
The reading lamp we had between our chairs broke and now we're glad it did. This new lamp is great. The top light gives the entire room plenty of light and having the dimmer is really nice. The two side reading lights are perfect for us. This was our first experience with Lamps Plus and we're very pleased.
Bought this lamp for my son's bedroom where it is the only light in his room. It sits on very thick carpet and is much sturdier than his last one which tended to tip a bit. This one is solid and iluminates the entire space. Easily put together and a great value.
allows me to accent just the area of the room I want, or provide focused light for reading. very flexible, yet stylish. well built
This was bought as a gift for my son's new condo. Photos of it in place and his comments make it clear that it functions as expected. It makes an artistic statement, provides ambient light, and serves as a reading lamp, too.
The 3 lights (top, and two on pole) are separately controlled with their own switches -- a very useful feature. When ordering I assumed the ring around each light was glass, but turned out to be plastic (acrylic?). I realized that glass of that thickness would have made it very heavy, and this looks just as good.
