Inexpensive and sturdy, this lamp was easy to assemble. The lamp allows you to adjust both the intensity of illumination and the direction of light. Great value for your dollar. The design is plain, but unobtrusive.

It does its job for my office desk. I would have preferred a "whiter" light output from the halogen lamp. The outside surface of the lamp housing does get hot but that is typical of any halogen light. Just need to be careful with it. Definitely not a product for use in areas where kids may visit.

The lamp actually worked quite well for 3 months. [...] In my case the bulb just started going off by itself. I would bump the light and it would come back on but then go out a short time later. I took the lamp apart and found that the seating mechanism for the bulb is just really subpar and I couldn't make it any better...so into the trash!
