I was searching for a front door exterior light that would provide enough light to put the key into the doorknob, and yet NOT be so bright (and glarey) as to be distracting since we do use our front patio courtyard in the evening. This was the PERFECT solution. The fixture provides plenty of indirect light for all needs (including barbecueing) and I love the contemporary, clean simple lines of the fixture. Also, it takes the CFL lightbulb, so I feel free to use the light as needed. Great price - Great product - fills all my criteria for my front door light (and also Courtyard light)

great night time ambiance

We installed this light at our front door and our back door. We liked the light it puts off so much that we bought two more when we moved for our new house. Easy to install on a standard surface. We had some difficulty with the very first light we bought because we were mounting it to an uneven adobe wall. The rest were mounted to stucco with no issues. It is a simple light fixture, but creates the most beautiful unobstrusive down lighting at night.
